How to recover a samsung device with forgotten pattern

You have changed your pattern recently and don't remember that.

How to avoid forgetting current pattern

              You must register an account with your phone.Doing so can reset your password or pattern to a new one without losing data.To do this, follow the steps,

go to settings> accounts and sync> add account> select google account.

As you select google account, it pop ups a new window asking, existing or new. If you have a google account before, proceed to existing and if you don't, proceed to new. You need internet access to do so as it sync your data.

If you forget your password after the account has registered, type any incorrect password 5 times. Then it shows a new window informing  that you have typed your password incorrectly 5 times and try again in 30 seconds. In that window, there are two small boxes of emergency call and forgotten password at the bottom.
Press on forgotten password and give your registered email ID and password. Then it will ask you to draw and confirm a new pattern.
How to restore your device if you have forgotten pattern and not registered any account to your device.

As you haven't registered any account , you cannot access your phone now.
Then follow the steps below carefully.

step 1: Switch off your device. Be sure the device is charged upto 60%
step 2: Get into recovery mod by press and hold the power button and home button together till you see the window of recovery.
NB: (some phone model needs to press 3 buttons. So before this, google your recovery mode with your handset model)
step 3: Choose "wipe data/ factory reset" option from there by pressing the volume buttons and select it by pressing home button.
step 4: Select "yes" to continue.
step 5: After factory reset complete, select reboot system now option...............

Now you can access your phone. Be sure you register an account to your device.. 

How to share your android phone's internet connection to your pc or laptop.

The most common way used by samsung users is using "samsung kies".
Here we talk about 2 or 3 different methods that can be used for this purpose.

 using "USB TETHERING"
               
step 1 : Connect your device to pc or laptop using data cable.
step 2 : Go to settings> wireless and networks> tethering and portable hotspot > usb tethering
             from your phone.
step 3 : Turn on usb tethering after connecting your device via usb data cable.

Doing this will make your device as a modem. If the data connection error occur, a symbol of an exclamatory sign enclosed in a triangle in yellow background will appear.  Then check your packet data connection and try reconnect.

Bluetooth or wi-fi tethering.

step 1 : Go to settings<wireless and networking< tethering and portable hot spot.
step 2 : select "configure wi-fi hotspot" and change the security to "WPA PSK" or "WPA2 PSK"
step 3 : type a password for your protection and save it.
step 4 : turn on bluetooth tethering for connect via bluetooth to your system, or turn on portable           wi-fi hotspot for connect via wi-fi to your pc.
step 5 : Make sure that your pc or laptop have switched on bluetooth or wi-fi to connect your phone.

                                            This will identify your phone and in your range icon will show a star to mention that connections are available. As clicking on it, there will be your device.
step 6 : click on your devices section and click on connect. Then type password and proceed.
 

If you cannot find your device here, go to, control panel< networking and sharing section from your system.
There will show your device and internet access if any.

If there any problem occures "try troubleshoot problems" in the same "networkand sharing" option in control panel.
